Healthy Town USA Expands Into Spartanburg
Posted by: Healthy Town USA | Posted on: April 22, 2026Healthy Town USA is growing into Spartanburg, bringing its focus on local health spots and practitioners to the next county over. Publisher Lindy Craig and Editor Karyn Weidman plan to begin distributing magazines in Spartanburg in the Spring, with community news and updates featured in the Summer 2026 issue.
“Since I live on the county line, it’s natural for me to spend a lot of time in Spartanburg County as well,” says Weidman. “We know Spartanburg has a lot of health options to offer, and we want our readers to know more about them,” adds Craig.
The expansion also highlights the many practitioners and businesses that serve clients in both Greenville and Spartanburg counties. Healthy Town USA aims to connect readers with trusted local wellness resources while fostering stronger community awareness of health and vitality across the region.
For more information on how to become a distribution site, a contributor, or advertise in Healthy Town USA, call: Lindy at 864-569-8631 or Karyn at 864-999-1128 or visit: HealthyTownUSA.com.

After an unusually snowy winter here in the Upstate, I think we are all especially grateful to see the first flowers beginning to bloom. There’s something about our vibrant Upstate springs that feels like a fresh start — brighter days, renewed energy, and new opportunities to focus on our health and homes.
This issue is filled with helpful, timely insights. On page 12, Victoria Pait, DC explores a question many are asking in “Is It Really the Gluten?” — a thoughtful look at how gluten may (or may not) be affecting your gut health. If spring has you thinking about making a move, be sure to turn to page 14 where Kiersten Bell-Cox shares practical advice in “It’s All in the Details,” offering smart tips for selling your home this season. And on page 19, Licensed Acupuncturist, Rebecca Leonard, provides budget-friendly herbal guidance to support hormone balance.
We’re also excited to share that our editor, Karyn Weidman, is exploring opportunities to grow Healthy Town USA in Spartanburg. If you know of a local business that would like to serve as a distribution partner, please let us know — we’d love to connect with them this spring.
As always, thank you for supporting our local, health-minded community partners. Be sure to let them know you found them in Healthy Town USA!
Happy Spring, Lindy

As we say goodbye to the long, hot summer, I’m ready to welcome the crisp air and colorful leaves that November brings. Fall is such a refreshing time in the Upstate, and here at Healthy Town USA, we’re excited to share another issue filled with inspiration, community, and wellness.
We’re thrilled to partner again with Earth Fare for our bi-annual Health Fair on Sunday, October 19th from 1–3 pm—details are in our Community News on page 10. This issue’s Biz Spotlight shines on InsideOut Wellness Center (p.14), and our Natural Health Skeptic, Susan Meluso, checks out the Evolve EMS Therapy System (p.16). On page 18, Dr. Jeanne Petan offers Simple Ways to Soothe a Sore Throat Naturally—perfect for the season.

Welcome to Healthy Town USA

Welcome to our Summer Issue—and a big milestone moment for us! This marks the 3-year anniversary of our publication, and with it comes an exciting new chapter: we’re rebranding from Locally Grown Magazine to Healthy Town USA.
Our new name reflects who we are today—Your Local Guide to Longevity & Wellness. We believe “Healthy” belongs front and center, especially now as more people are taking charge of their well-being and seeking ways to live longer, stronger, and with greater joy. We hope you love the new logo and fresh energy as much as we do!
This issue is packed with seasonal support—from Cool Workouts on page 12 by Victoria Cochran of the Danita Clinic to Stronger Together: 5 Heart-Healthy Habits on page 18 by Dr. Dimple Joshi of Holistically Healthy. If you’re hungry for healthy eats, check out page 20, where local health coach Elizabeth Adams from Mountain Herb Wellness dishes on downtown Greenville’s nutritious gems.
Don’t miss our Fireworks Calendar on page 31—many shows are on July 3rd this year (good news for dogs who dislike the booms!).
Wishing you a vibrant and beautiful summer,
Lindy
